On MobileBurn I read that the Z600 lacks the sms status report (received notification, read receipt, whatever).
How can that be?
My old A2628s does not have it, but the humble R600 and T600 do.
It is so convenient, I can't imagine a Z600 not having it. It would be a reason not to buy it.

Hmmm, well originally the P800 was lacking this feature also, but a firmware update soon sorted that out.

Since the T610 has delivery status I see no reason why the Z600 wouldn't and indeed tha Z600 manual from the global support pages shows the same options for "status request" and "request reply" etc

The P800 did eventually get a firmware upgrade (RD2 i think) which added a delivery report option but you have to set it each sms - painful. Is there an improvment on this please? How about folders too, that would be exciting!

The delivery report is 'network+phone' dependant. On certain networks, delivery report option is not in my T610 as well. On the other networks, the option is there.
On my Nokia, delivery report is always there! Weird.

The option is already in your firmware but if it is not visible then, like SE-Fans said, its probably because your network does not support it so no firmware upgrade will help you there.
