Recently I saw a T610 with a complete Apple customisation including an iPod style design.
I was told that Apple and SE worked together on the development of the T610 and that Apple had intended to bring out their own version of the handset (there have been some concept pictures on the web but nothing like the product I saw).
Does anyone else know anything more about this. Are Apple still working with SE ? If so what cool stuff should we be expecting ?

where I original posted it. I must say it is funny. About a week after I posted the image I saw it everywhere as it was of course going to be the 'iPhone'.
I heard some people moded their t610's to look like this but have yet to see an example. I would love to see one if anyone has a photo.

The model I saw was white not silver it also had a full Apple GUI which looked like OS X. It looked more like the T620 pictures that appeard on mobile-review a month or so ago. The real give away on this model was the GUI it was deeply presonalised at all levels way beyond anything you could do with a standard downloadable T610 theme.
Again, I was told by someone I believe that Apple had worked with SE on the T610 and had plans to launch their own version.
My guess is Apple wanted to do something but got cold feet. Still interesting to think about what they could do if they worked together.

If so, it is as fake as the one above. It was on the back of a magazine and was conceived by the magazines graphic designers. Nothing more then a 'what if' design.

I mean to put SE products first in iSync before any other kind of phone, at a time when the only SE phone known was the t68i was quite daring...
So I would expect that it would be payback, for SE to trade/sell technology to apple for a wireless ipod one day that could do calls...
SE also mentions iSync the apple technology, a lot in their webpages - further hinting the support....

I only wish these two companies would co-brand a phone!
The 3G ipod is probably the greatest design of any consumer electronic device. (even though I still love my p800)
Imagine the synergy between these two powerhouses.
From an article in Wired:

Actually I think most people misjudge the current situation between the 2 (or rather 3 companies). I have mentioned this before, so if you've read my previous thread regarding this it will sound like old news: Sony and Apple are not particularly fond of each other, in many markets they compete for similar users, and personally I believe that since Apple stopped using Sony monitors on their computers, the relationship hasn't been so great.
However, Apple is not likely to hold grudges, particularly since its market share doesn't allow it to do so, and realizes that the Mobile Phone equivalent of its Computer users market are Sony Ericsson buyers, and as such they develop software to make sure this phones run with macs. Part of Apple's strategy to become the digital hub that they want to be. Also, if you read the latest comments directly from Steve regarding the iPod future, you will see that according to him that is not the route of the iPod. I believe current and near future technology only allows you to pick one of two ways, mass storage, or telephony, Apple has clearly picked telephony.
