> recording calls on T610

I have managed to work out how to change the file format from AMR to WAV when recording myself thanks to help from you guys. However when I try to convert the format on a recorded phone call, it doesn't work saying there is an error. Surely this should be the same thing? Why can't I record a phone call but I can record myself with the T610? Assistance would be appreciated.
