hi. i've had my t610 for about two weeks and the cover is really annoying me. all the fingerprints everywhere. and i'm always scared of scratching it. so i decided to buy another one. £5.50 (incl p&p) from ebay, i bought a clear one, (non-oem) front back and antenna cover.
haven't got it yet but i was jsut thinking. my remote control car came with a clear shell and it says you spray the INSIDE (and the colout shows through) so as not to scratch the paint and to prevent it flaking.
is this a good idea for the phone? the paint will never get scratched unless i do it while putting it on (i'll be careful) and i think it would great a nice effect (because the paint isn't on the surface, it's deeper into the phone.

hmm, though i dont think you'd achieve the same effect as that of an RC car. coz a phone's case has a lot of lines and some tiny "beams" under the covers. if you get what i mean.
although, it may be worth the try.

well obviously it;s not gonna be the same effect, but that's not what i'm going for. i'm going for the idea for it not to get sratched. but that's a good point you made about all the "beams", it would look stupid.
i think i'll just leave it clear then adn have that hologram on the battery showing through

if the clear case is PC [polycarbonate] you may go ahead and paint it from the inside... just that the ribbings would be visible from the outside and not having a sleek cover... suggest that you pain it from the outside in 4 layers of paint(light and evenly)... 15 minutes each curing time... the 5th layer may be clear but you have to cure it for atleast a day for a rock hard gloss finish... you may use microwave[risky!] but i suggest, use the sun... much more harder when cured...

thanks for the painting advice!!i never use anything but sun (or no sun in london) to dry paint. what colour do you think i should go for? black or silver? i've seen black in this forum and it looked nice, but silver would meen the whole phone would be silver!

bad@$$ because it would be a smoky gray color... like the Game Boy Color cartridges used to be, those were awesome.
although you can also just buy a shell like that on ebay...
silver would look pretty friggin sweet too
cant wait to see some pictures of a just clear case!
