Hi
I just swapped my T610 for a Z600 a couple of hours ago.

First of all, WAP / GPRS DOES NOT WORK
(another customer who purchased from the same store and also confirmed this to the vendor)

That said, its one hell of a phone.

1. The screen is MUCH better than the T610 but is a bit darker.
2. Camera seems to better too.
3. A picture (large size) taken at random was 23 KB.
4. The phone is thick but is very comfortable to hold.
5. The covers fit very well. No squeaking or movement.
6. Charger is from Delta of Thailand
7. Battery is much slimmer than the T610 one even though it is of a higher capacity.
8. In my set, the network bar is fluctuating very frequently.
9. Software version is R2D001
10. Manufacture week : 03W40
11. I didn’t notice any speed difference while composing SMS. The larger keypad is much easier to use though.
12. Java version of Erix looks neat.
13. The 2 pre-loaded Java games loaded very fast.
14. Free memory out of the box was about 1000 KB.

BIGGEST FLAW SO FAR…

Wap/GPRS does not work. The blue inverted bar is not showing at all. GPRS was working fine on the T610 when I gave it up. I’ll be raising hell with SE on this issue.

Bottomline
I’d prefer the Z600 over a T610.

There is still no solution to the Z600 wap/gprs problem from ... seems like I'll have to give the Z600 a pass. I can't help but regret giving up my T610.

Has anyone from a network other than T-Mobile USA had a problem with wap/gprs on the Z600 ? Please post here.

Strange, very strange SE launches this kind of product with a failure in the gprs.

Do you all live somewhere, maybe it's provider oriented.?

Strange.... between Harleydog and I not being able to use GPRS on the Z600 here in the states with T-Mobile, and you not being to in India, I'm wondering where the problem lies now? Is it with SE or is it with the carriers? Strange. I hope it gets fixed damn soon.

Mine work or at least in Malaysia, Maxis Mobile. However to get the MMS to work properly, I have to choose exactly Z600 in the www.sonyericsson.com Configurator.

I once choose T610 in our mobile provider homepage for the MMS setting through the automated configurator, it won't work.

Hope that help & go for a try using SE web configurator.

My Z600 WAP/GPRS works fine here in HKG. I got my settings via SMS from my service provider and just replaced my old settings. Probably it's the service provider that has the problem and not the phone.
