Great review.
Just confirmed, even more that this is the phone to buy.
I'm impressed with the features / customisability!

Good review, seems like they've addressed the annoying problems with this phone and made good use of third party apps.
With the camcorder ability (does it have sound?) and the improved colour display 65k, my g/f may inherit my p800 some time soon.
I'll have a serious read when I get home from work, good find.

Like i thougth.... it's just a simple FaceLifting
The only change is in fact the 65.000 screen, and this old-fashionned Sony look.
Why not trying to make something modern and upto date? Look at teh T610 and the T630... we are going backward in time with the P900
All the rest is possible with software on the P800.
UIQ2.1? it will be available for the P800 too and Tracker 3 is even better to change the look of the P800...
MP3 is ringtones? i can't see what it will bring me....
Foto edition? i have beter software for that...
No Duo Pro too....
Videorecording?? lolll completly useless with the capacity of the P900/800, quality is sooooo bad... just a gagdet to show off
That product is just a marketing product, just trying to excite people to buy it because it's new. He big empty balloon. Just a P800 in an other dress.

Looking at both phones side by side, if i didn't already now that the P900 is the successor to the P800 i would think that the P800 looks like the new version of the squarer P900!

if p800,3650 and 7650 are new age phones and p900 is old fashioned
then I am certainly happy that se has an old fashioned phone (design)
p900 and 6600 are (in my opinion) the best looking phones in that pic
in my opinion the design of the p900 is a brilliant one and I don't really understand you guys, if you are so smart you make a better phone than this, p800 looks like a blue baloon to the p900 and you say that the p900 looks old fashioned.....
and finally who says that the Z06 (1997) is better looking then f50 (1995 I think)

@ blue8300 regardless of ones likes and dislikes, the P900 will be capable of doing more than most people would ever require in a mobile phone, especially as all in one devices, are commonly known to underperform next to their standalone or dedicated counterparts, and lets not forget that SE themselves are not claiming that this phone will revolutionize the mobile phone industry. just exactly how good it will be at doing the things SE have incorporated into it is without doubt with its limitations however, judging by the excellent but flawed P800 series one can only assume that most of the flaws in the original phone will have been rectified for the P900s release, but i very much doubt all will have changed. time will tell.

The *really* cool thing I spotted somewhere on the P900 site was support for 'Onephone' services, so instead of having a desk phone and a mobile your one handset routes calls automatically when you're out of range of the office system.
I installed one of the UK's biggest DECT Freeset system from Ericsson back in 1997 and we really wanted a 'Onephone' type service but all Ericsson had was a prototype GSM phone basically welded to a DECT phone. Shame really.
P900 has some really powerful back office functions I also noticed it supports push email a la the Blackberry.
