This sounds weird,Is there any way by which I can use the remote control panel of my CD-ROM as a IR adapter to send files to my phone.I have a Creative CD-ROM with a remote.

If it doesn't show up as a device in windows, you won't be able to use it as an IR adaptor... (besides, chances are it's only a reciever)
