hi folks,

i've tried everything i can think of and now you lot are my last resort. i have bought a serial data cable for my t610 and i've downloaded sendfile to try to transfer files. but when i plug the phone in and launch send file it does not detect the phone is there. can someone shed some light on this? i read on a usenet group that i may need to download the phonemonitor program from SE and i have done this, but how does this help? someone please help

right
go to "Start->Accessories->Communication->Hyper Terminal"
choose any name for connection
open connection on COM1 (or whatever COM your phone is connected on)

type "AT"
if you get answer - you are OK
if you don't, or you can't write anything, -the connection could not be established

Go to your control panel, then system, then device manager and look under ports, is your cable showing up as being in one of the ports?
And if so what port is it in?

both com1 and com2 show as having nothing in them. ecp shows a printer.

are you sure it's the right cable?

the drs-11 and drs-10 look exactly the same, but the drs-10 won't work with the t610.

cheers,
voxigen.
