The Sendo runs on Microsoft Smartphone 2003 software. Echos of the SPV there... If it has similar problems then in my opinion I would steer clear, but supposedly they have improved the OS so best to wait and see when it comes out I would think.

The article says it runs on Symbian Series 60...

I'd be really surprised if it was Smartphone 2003, as Sendo and MS had a big falling out a little while back.

Some stuff about this Sendo thing caught my attention. First of all, it runs on the Symbian Series60 platform, which only Nokia used on their phones. Some of you are getting ready to say "There is Siemens SX1 which uses S60", but it has been anounced like for a year and there is no sign of it. But on Sendo's site, this writing was the first thing that made me :

-Series 60 licensor, Nokia Mobile Software's Jukka Riivari, Director of Sales added: "Within less than a year of our licensing agreement Sendo brings to the market an impressive smartphone. With the Sendo X, Sendo also leveraged the flexibility of the Series 60 Platform in product differentiation by adding many unique innovations to the phone, all packaged in a very light, small and stylish product."

I mean, why is he interested in Sendo being "small and stylish"? Why didn't he make the same comments for the SX1? I also saw that it had RealOne Player coming in it (it should be coming free because they wouldn't put it their for advertisement)... Changing from Microsoft PocketPC 2003 to Symbian S60 is another fact in here...

I then also checked the other phones of Sendo; one of them has a very similar look with the 3410... All the phones have very similar headphone and charger connectors and very similar "Menu Images" and "Menu Navigations" to Nokia, too... Also, the clamshell of Sendo, M550, accepts Nokia logos, Nokia melodies, SP-Midi's and Nokia Picture Messages... The only thing which it has similar to Ericsson's is ability to play IMY's (which another company than Ericsson has developed)... I also thaught that it was a Nokia because of the "Menu" button next to the "Yes" button...

It makes me think that Sendo is a sub-company (or whatever they tell it, couldn't find the correct meaning in the dictionary) of Nokia... or it is that I'm a too suspicious guy!..

EDIT: Should've looked at "about us" section before:
We work with the best technology partners in the world - Celestica, Texas Instruments, Symbian and Nokia Mobile Software, to ensure we’re at the leading edge of technology
