I dropped my mobile phone in a drunken stupor last night and didnt realise I had even done it. Anyway, this morning when I went to turn it on I had no joy. I took the battery out and put it back in. Turned the phone on and the SE music played, but instead of the swirly SE logo it just displayed that "egg-timer" type image.
It hasn't let me go past this stage but does show the clock etc. Basically Orange are going to replace it as I have insurance, but the very annoying thing is that when I asked, they did admit it would be with a refurbished T610 model.
I dont think this is at all fair, as surely you are insuring your phone to receive a new phone. Now I'm sure (and praying) that the replacement looks as new but do you think its worth complaining to them??
ps: The phone only dropped from a small height, there is no damage to the casing - they seem a very fragile phone.
pps: Does anyone also think the "freezing" that they do is also very annoying?

But i have had similar propbs after acouple of bumps, but it's not stopped working...it's a shame.

The other very annoying thing is I had lots of pictures of my baby daughter which I didnt bother to transfer to my PC. And all my numbers were not saved to SIM.............AAARRRRGGGHHH

i deffo would. you bought a brand new phone, why would you want anything less when you claim on insurance?
bad luck bout losing the pictures.. just be glad it wasnt your actual baby you dropped in your drunken stooper

Will complain then.
SKY television did the same to me with the Decoder box. All these mega rich companies sending out refurbished stock is complete bolloxs. Makes me sick
