In P800 the games didnt work in flip closed mode. I think it was because it was a touchscreen keypad and there was a limitation of 2 or more button press not working simultaneously.

But now we have an electronic keypad,so the games have to work in flip closed. Its all upto the developers to port the game in flip closed.

Dont u people agree???

yes!!! the keypad can be used for controls!! so finally we can have a good gameboy emulator that is easy to control!! (even pokemon is hard with the touchscreen and jogdial) AND there is a larger visible area of the screen in flip closed mode!

Well it all depends on the software developers.

But the reviews did not even say that you can play Java games while flip closed. (Which should be a logical move knowing that the flip is now electronic). But NO, Screenshots still show the "virtual java" flip like the one in the P800. What's new with in the P900 regarding java is that you can play it at full screen?!!? kinda weird dont you think. Most java games are better played with the flip closed.

jomni1,, whether virtual flip or no virtual flip,,the only thing that matters is that now the flip doesnot touch the screen,,so games will definately work in flip closed. we will see in future......

Correct me if i'm wrong but if the flip on the p900 works independent from the screen, wouldn't it be possible to run games in full landscape mode (flip open) and still use the keys as a joypad all be it the buttons would be facing away from you cos the flip would be open, it'd be like using the trigger keys on a regular joy pad with one hand and the jog/cam buttons with the other, open ya flip on ya p800 and it feels quite natural.

Like I said, it all depends on the game programers.
We'll have to wait and see.
