Siemens SL65 would be announced in the beginning of the next year. The phone has the same form-factor as its predecessor. Besides it is equipped with VGA-camera (the company couldn’t get camera of better resolution from its suppliers), excellent screen which supports up to 262 000 colors. There are problems with the screen too. Now developers try to re-make MMI interface to fit the new resolution and it’s very hardworking. The second problems is that new screens would be massively available only in the third quarter 2004. It means that Siemens SL65 won’t be widely spread till that time. To buy all necessary components (screens, cameras, memory and so on) is the priority task of the manufactures today. Siemens is not very successful in this field and the last launched products demonstrated it one more time.
For example, youth model equipped with QWERTY-keypad and which should be available on the market in the beginning of 2004, still has 4096-colors screen (the same as in C62, 128*128 pixels). The company adds this kind of display just because it doesn’t have better screens in necessary quantities.
According to our information first photos of Siemens SL65 would be available soon in the Net. As the design of this model has not been confirmed yet, there is no sense to publish 3D-pictures.
