Hi all,

Had my p800 for a few months now, but having a major problem as of yesterday.

Whenever I make or receive a call, the other person can hear me but I cant hear them.
When I dial, I dont hear the phone ringing or the other person picking up, but they say they can hear me.
I can hear the beep to say the phones connected, and I've all other sounds are working fine.

I havent done anything to the phone, made a few phone calls no probs, but when someone rang me later I couldnt here them.

I thought it was bad network coverage but when I moved outside it was still the same.

The problems still there today, and makes my p800 useless as a phone!

Anyone have any ideas whats wrong? And yes I hae turned up the call volume!

Cheers,

Simon

Seems to me very simple, your main speaker is "broken", on the miminum level or disconnected, that's all.

Is the speaker used for calls and all other sounds different?

Because I hear the beep to say its connected plus all other sounds are fine?

How would the speaker have become damaged or disconnected, my phone was either sitting on a table or safely in my pocket all day?

try a master reset,i think it helps! I had this problem once with my p800 but after a few power on/off worked again! and no problems since then!So try a master reset,it should shake a little your phone ! or a service center!

Ok, sounds like I'll have to try it. What exactly will I lose from my phone when I do it?

I think the speaker for calls is different from the one for sounds... Cause the sound from audio playback comes from the back (the loudspeaker)... So it could be as simple as a broken speaker... The service center should be able to fix this... If you dare you could try splitting up your phone...

I just tried the master reset, didnt work at all and now I've lost all my settings!

Looks like I'm off to a service centre to get it sorted then!
