This has just started happening to my pink800, but couldnt find or remember anyone with the same problem.

when i push the MSD into the phone, it doesnt always lock into the slot, and is always coming out again
have to try about 5 times before it'll stay in the phone!
tis really annoying me now, cos i take the stick out almost daily to change stuff on it using a card reader.

It's almost as if the spring mechanism has gone or something. Cos normally you'd push the memory stick in all the way, but the phone would push it out a little way then lock it!

I dont dare take her to a shop to fix it, cos i know they'll spot the pink covers

ok i saw them do this at the workshop

1.take off the battery cover
2.take off the battery
3.you will see the metal part where the memory stick goes here you will see a little metal thing on the top right push it down.

if this dosent work give it to se they wont care about the cover unless you have opened your p800

Hi MixiN.
It's a bit off topic, but I'm really interested to know how your Pink p800 is holding up, durability wise. Has the paint held on well, or is it starting to wear off?

paint is lasting and staying on

theres a few small chips on it, but they've been on the phone since i put it on the p800.. due to my shoddy craftsmanship
didnt appear on my photos due to mr photoshop though

im probably looking after it more than i used to when it was standard blue.. but thats just because its the only one of its kind, and i need to keep it as nice as possible

Looks like it is time to upgrade to p900,

Keep the legacy, be the first to have a Pink p900,
There are some things $1500 can't buy.....

I assume you got the case as an empty shell , so you could always swop it back for the blue one & get a factory repair on the duo spring, that mechaniism is very tiny & i wouldnt try a repair, it is worth giving it a blow with a bicycle pump though as you may have a bit of dirt up your hole (if you can forgive the expression).

when did this problem occur?
when u first put on the Pink case?
cuz if so, then it is easy to find out the problem

I suggest trying the metal thing out, maybe attempt a fix urself?
if not, service it

they will never know u opened it
if they ask, say they opened it when u had problem before

opened it up the other day, had a quick poke/blow inside.. but the problem is still there.

might have to take my baby in to be serviced
least i got a car-100 to play around with in the mean time
