NOT AGAIN THE SAME THREAD AND THE SAME QUESTION !!! MY GOD !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! READ FIRST !!!!!
Like SE told us a 1000 times, like you can read in all White Papers of the P8/900, like every persons who tested it affirm it, like logic says : it will never work, the MS reader and the intern hardware can't handle more the 128mb or a Duo Pro..
JUST ACCEPT THOSE FACTS, back to heart, this is reality calling

People... Please RTFM, the white papers and do a bloody (can I say bloody?) SEARCH FIRST. This has been raised sooooo many times already!!!
P800/P900 documentation says "upto 128MB" It doesn't say upto and above, over and above or anything else.
In time, and when they change the system architecture etc, then we can go over the 128 mb limit. But that will be models post P900!!!

@skabbe
The fact that 256MB doesnt work is further reinforced by the fact that Expansys have now withdrawn the description of 256MB Duo being compatible - I received an email from them - and are now offering folks the opportunity to buy two 128MB Duos at a discount.
If you go to their website you will see the 2 x 128MB offer. It's pretty good marketing on their part to make such an offer but it ain't really good enough - the damn fone should take more than 128MB.
It's a pity really and really silly of SE to restrict the phone to 128MB - I mean, for God's sake, the bloody thing is a mulitmedia device that can store videos, drawings, voice recordings and MP3's. Where the hell are we supposed to put them all, especially as you can't install many apps on the internal memory.

@plevyadophy
Yes it is a shame that the phone is restricted. Bit shortsighted by SE there. I mean the idea was to develop a phone that combined the functionality of a PDA. It even stretches from the architecture to the basic programs in how they are limited.
So.... are you going to take expansys up on their offer?
@skabbe
Mate, it's not about the red tape. It's that there are limits, not just software, but also hardware. Now it MIGHT be possible for SE to offer to do a chip upgrade like someone remembered that they did with the Palm. You still had to pay for that. This MAY mean taking greater than 128mb duos. But at the moment, 128 mb is the way of it!!
