I've searched and searched using the search function but couldn't find a satisfying answer so maybe anyone of you could enlighten me?

I have several live mp3 mixes (mainly dj sets) and tried everyone of them on the ms duo 128MB (magicgate darkblue one), but they all fail to play with the built-in media player or I get an error saying that the file is invalid. the files vary from 67 to 120 mb (I've also noticed that you have to leave several mb of free space on this duo or else you get an error message reading the card or abnormal filemanager terminations).

I have the latest firmware revision for the p800 (r2f phone, r5a bluetooth, r2d organiser and r5a cda) so I guess that kind of eliminates the firmware being related to the problem (or not).

Anyone?

Can't comment for the inbuilt MP3 player, I've never used it because it is really crap.

However, I can tell you that I have transferred some of my mixes to OGG, and they play OK in Oggplay. One for example is 78 minutes long and the ogg file size is about 30Mb. Plays off the 128Mb Duo no problem.

Hope this helps

Firstly try smaller MP3's to see if they result in the same error messages. Then get unreal player i can get you the program to use it if you want. hope this helps, it may also be something about the way in which you formatted your drive
get more info on formatting the card differently here:
