well, as some might know, I wanted to get an NGage while waiting for the P900
then I found out when the P900 was released so I kinda scrapped the NGage idea
sent the money to my friend, and guess what he got me.. an NGage
so I am still waiting for a P900
guess shit does go wrong
cant order one in, cuz customs will charge me DOUBLE the price of the phone
so I'll end up paying around 3k$ for it
trying to find a solution

Why would the customs charge you so much for importing a p900?! Do you live in some communist country?

yes I do
I live in canada
those bastards take 51% of our profits
customs here r asses
espcecially after the 9/11 bs...
and since they dont know what it is, they charge a random amount of tax on it cuz they assume the price of the device
well, yeh, it did hurt seeing the NGage infront of me
but it's an ok phone
and I dont hv any GAMES
thank god I hv a 128mb MMC card tho
putting some movies on it
keeping me sane for now

Pardon my ignorance.
N-GAGE uses MultiMediaCard???
How about the P800? Are there any OTHER brands of CHEAPER cards that can be used with it??? Sony is really... cutthroat

It's usually the carriers (fed-ex/UPS) that really screw ya on charges and stuff. When products are shipped USPS, you only usually have to pay the taxes (depends which province you live in).
I refuse to deal with sites that only ship UPS/FedEx when shipping to Canada - I'll either get my dad to buy them in the US, or drive across the border and pick 'em up.

I'm confused.
Why exactly did you get sent the N-Gage?
Did your buddy not know you had changed your mind?
In the meantime, a simple remedy to your financial woes would perhaps be putting the N-Gage up for sale here or on Ebay. You should have no problems recouping your losses if you act quickly.

why not get it shipped to just south o the border, then do a bit of international P900-smuggling across the border?!

check out ebay. there is a guy selling a p900 in canada. seems legit, since he is a cell phone dealer.
