Did not work tonight,anyone else have this prob,i have R1L SW version.
This function is much needed if,like me,you live in the UK
UK users,post here and tell me if it worked on yours,thx

I'm not UK user and not T610 user, but on my T300 isn't worked too. Assume it works only when you change time zones. Like you are flying from Slovakia to UK or USA or something like that.

I shudda said,those not in UK may not know that we change the time twice a year.
At the beginning and end of summertime they go forward 1 hour and back 1 hour respectively.
Damn stupid idea to keep the summer nights lighter.............later

I am on vodafone UK and each weekend when I get back to UK and turn the phone on when getting off the plane it always corrects the time, even the T68i did that too.
Last night I actually manually changed the daylight saving setting before going to bed because I also set an alarm and wanted to be sure it would wake me up at the right time so I cannot comment on that specifically.
However, I just did a test of changing the daylight saving setting back to summer time and it was only when I turned the phone off and back on did it give me the hange time dialogue. Even then it only offered me the timezone settings and I had to backout of that and go through the menus again to get to the daylight savings settings.
So in summary I think it only checks the time when you turn the phone on.

My T610 also asked my if I wanted to update the time zone when I turned it on this morning. It's a nice little feature, but obviously I'd prefer it to ask me without me having to turn my phone off first.
Also, it's not only the UK that changes back from summer-time today. Many countries around the world (approx 70 of them) have a one or two hour shift in the summer. Not only that, but all of the EU and most of the other countries change to/from summertime today too.

I once called up my service provider about this, and it seems that the auto-time zone function (mind you this is not auto-daylight-savings-function, which does not exist) is network dependand.
The network transmits a signal if you enter that network (in another time zone). There are only a few networks worldwide that support this function. Mind you this was a few years ago, things might have changed.
Of course your SP can use this function to change time when entering winter- or summertime.

my T68i worked, have you got your T610 on auto time zone, it might be switched off.
Edit: on the T68i this is found in settings >>> time and date >>> Advanced >>> auto timezone.

yeah they do. Everytime I come home to oz my telstra phone offers the correct time, and I am sure my UK vodafone one does too when I turn my spare phone on (to AUS voda).
