> do u think T68i is stupid move?

i think making t68i is stupid move...
cuz this killed the t68, which everybody was reffering as
a legendary mobile, and was on the top of the sale for very long time
that no other mobile did before.
specially that after upgarding the t68 , it will be
alomst the same as t68i , only small diffrences in the hardware
and the software ...
is it only to put the name of sony on the phone??
at least they could make the reseloution better..
that what i first expected when i first heared about
t68i...

I think you're right and that it is a rather stupid move, I think if they would have just updated the T68m in March and kept it that way, much more people would have bought it and it would have been a kind of nice way to say good-bye to "Ericsson"...
But I suppose that with the new "look" they've also convinced the people who maybe didn't like the look of the T68m to buy a

Well, the release of the T68i may have many different financial reasons we are not aware of -- i.e., maybe the newly formed SE merger does not include revenue from old E/// only phones, which the T68m was. Therefore, the SE T68i is SE's first revenue producing phone (outside of Japan), so they had to rebrand, change a little, and release.
Point is, they are a big corp, and they have many strategists behind their moves. Whatever they do, they now have the top market in technology, and I hope they make great money so they keep producing.

only the diffrence in the name , is little bit pointless..
as u all can see , ppl r confused all over the world cuz of this thing..
everyday ppl send us ask about the diffrences ,
and if its worth the change..etc etc...
well...
there r things hiden as u said....and we dont know why they did this
but this is my idea:)

Well, I'm happy with this T68i due to the fact that I don't have to upgrade my phone since I'm in the US.
But, I do think they should have added something special to this phone that would differ from the T68m, other than the stupid camera.

the release of the t68i is to close to t68. they could have waited a bit longer. i was intending to buy a t68, but before i could do so, t68i was released. now, i'm confuse ! i dont know which to buy. i think i'll just stick to my t39 for the moment.
