Could someone please confirm the status of the green indicator light on the illuminated pad of the hcb 30 when connected to the p800. Previously I have used the 610 & 68i. With both these the green light has remained lit when the phone connects. With the p800 the light is off until I make a call. Is this normal or have I missed something?

Any advice would be much appreciated.

I've found the same thing. Also, how do I turn up the ringing volume of the HCB-30? Before I got my P800 I had a Nokia 6310i and I could change volume from the phone. Can you do this with the P800?

Not having a constant green light really pi$$es me off as I can't tell for sure if a connection has been made. What a load of rubbish!

When not in a call use the volume control for the car kit to adjust the ringing volume.

In case you didn't notice: the green light stays on, when there is an ACTIVE bluetooth connection. The T68 has a bug, that doesn't allow it to shutdown that connection properly. Result is battery drainage... That's at least what I've seen with my T68 and T610 in comparison to my P800.

Hi,

I think the way it works with the P800 is correct as it doesn't drain the battery.

I do have an other problem with the HCB-30. The sound quality for the person on the other side of the line is really bad. You can hear a lot of car noise.

I previously had a Nokia CARK-91 and an Ericsson that were both fine for this aspect. SE people told me that it could be due to the microphone as it is very directional. My feeling is that my unit is defect.

What is your experience regarding the noise for the people you're calling ?

The P800 does NOT support the handsfree BT profile yet. If only support the headset BT profile. The other phones you mention support handfree profile.

The SE car kit will pair with either a handsfree or headset BT profile device, so the P800 works, however not with the pucker profile.

The P800 should really be updated to have the handsfree profile.
