> T630 keypad : rubber keys & weak backlights?

It seems like the T610/T630 update is more or less the same phenomenon as T68 and T68i two years ago : the second one is more stylish and got some improvements both in the software (quickshare) and in the hardware (T630 got a TFT screen and T68i electric blue key lights while its predecessor had weak yellow backlighting).
Now what surprises me on the T630 is the keypad: it seems to be rubber keys which are, according to the picture I saw, badly highlighted in the dark, while T610 has super keys with astonishing white/blue backlighting... The T630 seems to be a stylish and interesting phone but honestly, I'm more than disappointed by having a poor keypad with weak backlights.

I dont think that keypad looks that bad and it's backlighted well , no big deal

hahaha, weve been around enough that when it comes to upcoming phones, some members are blessed with xray vision, and ESP. my pc screen has lead so i cant use my xray vision

Would it be possible to take out the bright blue keypad LEDs from a T68i and transplant them into a T610?
I dont have a T610 yet (waiting til Dec. to upgrade) but from pictures ive seen and the 2 times ive used it Im not a fan of the dim baby blue LEDs in the keypad that dont even light up the bottom keys
possible and easy, or not worth it?

You could just swap the housing over. Personnaly I like the t630, its more funky and more today. I think the t610 looks a bit bland and nothing special, nothing that hasn't been done or seen before. I like the t630 and think the release of it is great as it makes up for the poor t610 in comparisson.

ok, the pictures i look at must just be weird or something...
although i like the more vivid blue that the t68i has, rather than a more pastel-type shade on the T610.
do they use the same type of LED?
Ive never changed an LED on a mobile, or any LED other than a regular 3mm/5mm LED so I dont know what its like to work with those small ones

it seems the keypad has depth (ie the numbers are not on the surface), which cannot be done with ruber (i think). why would they go to rubber? that's such a nokia thing to do. which other ericcson has a rubber keypad?
