> HELP! Full signal but no network :(

I've been using my p800 for a few months now, but during the last 3 days, my phone constantly seems to be showing the emergency calls only or no network message. I thought it might of been my sim causing the problems, but i tested in my oher phone & it works ok
Any idea why my p800 no longer finds a network? BTW The signal bar still shows 3-5 bars

Depends where you are! I was in North Yorkshire a few weeks back and whilst in the village i was staying i'd get a full 5 bars connection but only Emergency calls only!
The answer? I am with O2, O2 didn't have any transmitters in the area, and they only subscribe to Emergency calls only on other networks! So although there was a mast close by (Vodafone) i only got emergency calls!
Simple really!

I'm on O2 too, i cant get coverage anywhere with an O2 in my phone now. But if i put a vodaphone card in i'm ok. I dont get it , i've never had problems with O2 before. The O2 card works fine in my other 3310.

Could be a number of things.
1. Youve accidentally changed your preferred serice provider.
2. One of O2s transmitters could be fooked and on repair.
3. General atmospheric conditions. Im assuming your in UK, past few weeks the weather has closed in. You may have had OK reception more sunny weather, now its close/damp/cold that could have reduced O2 coverage.
Have you considered one of those signal booster things you stick inside the battery cover. They may be crap but at £1 probably worth a try.
