Hi,
I just want to ask whether there is anything that can be transferred from our T68/T68i to a Nokia (8250) or Siemens phones.
I've tried to send pictures, contacts and business cards to Nokia 8250 but it failed.
Is the IrDa connection only for other Ericsson phones + PDA + Computer ?
thanks,
Ryan.

I have sucessfully "beamed" contacts and my own business card with other Nokia phones, such as 8210, and Siemens such as S35.

IrDA is an industry standard. If it happens, that one device cannot communicate with another device, and they're suppose to be following IrDA standards, then it's either one of them is not implementing it correctly, or one of them is defective.
I remember my old 6150 which has IR functions but uses a nokia-specific protocal (IRconn?), so it was kinda difficult to beam it to other devices.
I suggest you check out the specific standards that the other devices are using.

S55 t68i works perfectly regardless of what you send, using either BT or IRDA, canīt say about other phones.
The t68i canīt handle .bmpīs from the Siemens and the Siemens says 'huh?' to the t68i .IMYīs but the transmission in itself is flawless.
