> Got my P900 - My first review
Bookmark topic
Hello all...
I've only had the phone for a few hours so here's a very preliminary review...
In Dubai, while at the supermarket late last night, I found that the Axiom outlet next to it had 2 sealed P900s. Naturally, I sprang at the opportunity, told the man I was interested in buying one and he opened it for me to check on the contents, etc.
12 hours later, I am still exploring it but I love what I see so far.

seem to have addressed pretty much all the things I didn't like about my P800.
The sound is great. The screen is great. Communicorder is pretty good with video recordings. I made a couple of videos with PacketVideo Recorder (included on CD) and put them on my 128MB Duo and they are great. The tones sound pretty decent too. I like the OS - it's different from that of the P800 and seems smoother. Overall, the phone might be a big lighter that the P800 - I still haven't removed the flip so I can't really tell. The stylus feels much better than that of the P800 and looks more like a normal stylus
It's got themes which I see as a very welcome addition but I still don't know how easy or difficult it will be for us to make our own themes. Each theme comes with its own sounds too. The software that comes with the P900 is a lot. Although just about all of it is available for free download, it's nice to see that

see and hear us all with the apps we use.
One last thing, the vRally game is awesome. You play it in widescreen (landscape) mode and it's pretty much a 'real' game.
I paid DHS 2599 for the P900 - that is USD$ 712 - that is 618 Euro.

So how long do you think your battery will last?

jomni1, you might have to wait for him to go through a few charge cycles before he can give a clear indication of battery duration.
anyway, interesting initial review when compared to the contrasting review of D_G in
his thread
looking forward to hear more first impressions...

I know, it's a joke.
First time i used my P800... it lasted for just 5 hours! kept playing stunt run!... know i know p900 owners will do the same with vrally.
BTW, I want a list of the free apps...
and if they can be installed in the P800 (which I think is possible).
Has anyone tried?

Yes please, sir. With your normal phone usage, do you think the P900 battery life has improved or just the same as that of the P800?
