Is it possible to do the firmware upgrade with the USB cabel or with bluetooth?
It's a pain in the arse to go to a service center every time you want/need a firmware upgrade. With a previous phone i had (siemens sl45) i could upgrade my phone with the docking station with com cable that came with my phone.

Start with a read of this FAQ

Then the FAQ should be updated.
SE will be offering the firmware download right form their homepage starting on the 31st of this month. At least this is what the official SE Support states if you ask them.
I have no idea how it will work though ( probably via cable ) and with some kind of flasher program which only allows you to flash/download the matching firmware.
We'll see...

the FAQ probably will be updated when and IF the T610 can be updated in the way you describe. At this moment in time the faq is totally correct.
My understanding is that self updates only applies to the P900 initially.

If they will make it this way... I will love SE again. But until then....

Hi All,
Now that we are in November, does anyone know the status on this?
SE web sites still looks the same at the moment.
And SE Vietnam still claims that the latest version for T610 is R1L013...
Cheers...

I emailed SE about this so called "Online Upgrade" they did in fact say October 31, 2003 would be the day it would be available for all phones. Well it's November 2, 2003, and Still no word, So I'm starting to doubt it. It's making me angry that they say one thing and then not do it. I'm an American user, and We are shut out from upgrades to begin with, but to get our hopes up, only to be shut down again, is not cool.

Well, all these software delivery dates are meant to be delayed. Ever heard of software being released on time as ORIGINALLY scheduled?
