A few weeks ago, my P800 refused to boot up properly. It got to the sunrise screen with the Vodafone logo and then froze. I tried removing the battery and rebooting, removing the memory stick, rebooting. I trawled through this forum plus the one at p800.co.uk for clues and other ideas. The problem remained.
It's a bit sad, my phone was only two months old.
Anyway, gave up and took it to the Vodafone shop on Tottenham Court Road. 10/Oct actually. Software problems are very common on this phone they reckoned, and it would take 7 working days to fix.
Ok. The 7 days came and went. I chased up several times, and they'd reassure me that when it's back they'll call me.
Yesterday, they admitted that the phone had been lost, and that they'd have to give me a replacement. Nothing in stock though, it'll be 7 days.
Good grief, is this typical for Vodafone?
What are my chances of getting a working P800 next week?
Any advice to cut this short before it does turn into a long running saga would be appreciated.

Cheers (muted)

Oh My God....

well... things like that happens... those people over at Vodafone are humans too right?

perhaps you should talk to the manager or somebody in charge and ask him to deal with the problem, or perhaps ask for a good deal to trade the phone to buy a P900, for say... GBP50 for wasting your time.

or else, sue them
