Wi-Send is a Symbian based innovative utility tool for Nokia 60 series and Symbian UIQ SE P800 phones. Wi-Send allows Nokia 7650, 3650 and SE P800 user-community to directly send a file present on their Handsets (Inbox or on any drive) to any other device capable of receiving via IR (infrared) or Bluetooth. Wi- Send enables users to send or exchange any file from their handset with others. It comes with a very easy to use GUI and has a very small memory footprint . Wi-Send is innovative in a sense that it does not restrict the recipient to just Nokia 7650, 3650 and SE P800, but the recipient can be any PC or Phone or any Device with IR or Bluetooth connectivity.

Wi-Send for P800 is a freeware tool and can be downloaded from http://www.small-device.com/WiSend.htm

Am I right in assuming that this basically does what Sman and other file managers have built-in anyway?

Or is there something in here that hasn't been done already?

@Dazultra2000: I am wondering if I missed something myself. They seem to market it like some \"one of a kind\" new feature. Yet details seem to suggest otherwise... This message was posted from a WAP device

Has anyone tried it? I don't wanna bother, cause it seems worthless... But if someone just claimed that it had some cool feature, i'd consider...

Maybe it is a variation of a send object thing like you know how some people have a hard time sending a file to and fro SE & Nokia phones?

Hi All,

Sorry for delay in responding....here is some USPs of Wi-send. SOme of these features are not covered by SMan.

Wi-Send also allows you to do the following:

1. Explores the drives, directories and files present on the mobile. it also displays the specified path of file.

2.Inbox option allows user to select any file from inbox messages.

3. Displays all files in the inbox using appropriate file icon. All types of files like .sis file, .jar file, .jad file, text file are supported.

4. Copy and Paste selected file to any other directory and path in mobile.

5. Delete allow user option to delete selected file.

6. Rename allow user to rename Selected file.

7. Properties allow user to view property of selected file.

Wi-Send is innovative in a sense that it does not restrict the recipient to just Nokia 7650, 3650 and SE P800, but the recipient can be any PC or Phone or any Device with IR or Bluetooth connectivity.

If I had an Nokia I would prolly be more interested in this
applications since they usually restrict more what you can send/recieve
then phones.
