Recently I read a P900 review my Michael (Burn) Oryl (mobileburn.com). Among other things, he quoted SE website as saying that SE was going to put the firmware upgrades up on the website, so that the consumers would no longer have to go to service centres to have their phones upgraded.
However, I was not able to find this information on SE homepage (in fact, I was told SE did it prematurely and removed the information from the website shortly after it had been posted). However, SE reportedly considers putting firmware upgrades on their website in the near future. I live in a country where there are no service centres capable of upgrading high-end phone like the P800, so my question is: if SE really makes the firmware upgrades available on their website, will I, the average consumer, be able to upgrade my phone at home, without any special hardware etc.?

Another question: if the answer to the previous question is yes, and taking into account that SE has not yet made their firmware upgrades available, can someone point me to a place where I can download the firmware and do the upgrade myself (if the download is legal, of course)?

Thanks!
