Does other branding than vodafone affect the icons, gprs/wap settings and other stuff? Can I update the firmware as I wish on another branded T610 (not vodafone - ex. T-mobile or orange)??
Please help!!!

your title does not correspond with your actual question.
anyway, afaik other branding has
some effects, however unlike voda not every single icon is changed. just a few I suspect to the own wap site and such.
about upgrades..... i really dunno. sorry

you all misunderstood me!!
i know what vodafone branding does to the phone... i read about that in other posts...
i was asking about other providers (ex. orange, t-mobile) - if they alter the menu or the wap settings or fill the memory with pictures you can't (easily) delete. And if you can go to a

service center and normally upgrade the firmware, as on the unbranded phones. I know that you can't do it on vodafone.
That's all...
i used the search and didn't find exactly what i was looking for.

I've got on Orange branded T610. The icons in the menu are not Orange branded. There are a number of rubbish pictures and a screensaver that cannot be deleted, but there's no awful menu icons like on Vodafone Live.
Is that what you meant?

I've not counted the memory of the pictures, but I'd say it's over 200KB. Not sure about upgrades as mine is still on the same firmware. Sorry.
