> Please help-Memory stick duo damage

Hi all,
Yesterday I just turned off my mobile and in the morning my memory stick duo 128M is not working. I tried to format it via Sony Memory Stick Reader/Writer but it could not.
It seems my memory stick damaged despite I did not do anything wrong.
Please help-any suggestion? I brought it from Japan so not sure whether it has warranty kind of thing?

- check that the write protect switch isn't on by mistake?
- have a look at the contacts and check that they're clean.
- try formatting it in some other device?
if it still doesn't work it's *probably* fried :-(

Thanks for your reply and I managed to format it.
I tried it with couple of another device but it did not work out. Then I tried again to format at my P800. First 1-2 times it said "could not format".
Surprisingly at third time, it did format memory memory stick and now it is fine
