hi. i just read a post here that said that the whole "black" part of the t610 is actually a dark red, as you get on infrared devices. and it's true (i saw pictures of an ir camera looking right through the top half of the phone.

if anyone's trying or thinking of spray painting a cover for the phone, think again unless you don't want infrared. i only jus tthought of it.

ir will not pass through paint.

there goes my idea of getting a clear case and spraying it on the inside (i thoguht it would give a nice effect);

surely when you have taken the casing off you will know exactly where the IR is and you can put a bit of tape there before you paint?

if you are using a darker plastic color to start with like a smoky gray and are using a dark paint, and you can manage to make the tapemark small and inconspicuous (it doesnt need to be incredibly large, just directly in front of the IR transciever) then you can pull it off

rudeboy, did you take pics of your phone in the clear casing? im still interested to see!!!

and does anyone have a link to an infrared camera looking through the T610 casing? sounds like a neat shot, id like to see that...

no i still haven't got the clear case (it's been nearly two weeks) becuase of the postal strike.

yeah i thought that too. i saw my sister handling it and was about to screem (here handling my phone with the covers off). then i remembered i had screwed them on.

these fit on quite well and come with all necessary dirt protectors(they are white, round the screen and one at hte bottom of the front). also comes with a pad for the batteyr cover to put some pressure on the battery.

for only £5 these are definately worth it. if i get bored i can paint it. i don't need to worry about scratching it.
