me again....this is just cosmetic but annoying nonetheless....
even after sending/receiving, reading/deleting etc all emails, the email received symbol does not disappear.
Can anyone help?

Are you sure it is the email received icon? there are quite a few similar looking icons. Maybe have a closer look and compare with the icon list in the back of the manual.

If your'e sure that it is the email symbol but you don't have any mail a firmware upgrade might help.

On the p800, if your using IMAP and check mail for the first time it thinks every message is new, and the new mail symbol stays on the status bar.
If you the turn the phone off and then on again it goes away.
Not sure if this is the same with the t610 tho.
