> Claiming insurance on damaged t68i?

Simple story, won't go into much detail. T68i falls from pocket, side scroll button gets b0rked. Then the button falls off, then we try to stick it back on so it doesn't look gay, and super glue gets on the top of the screen (thanks dad...)
Now someone said that if the company (Prudential) see that we tried to fix it, they may not accept it, so i have taken the side button back off.
I'm absolutely heart broken and wondered if you think i've got a chance of claiming insurance and what the company would do, i.e, replace it with a t68i, give me money or replace it with a different phone (preferably t610)

, they'd probably give you a replacement if it can't be fixed but may repair it if it can be fixed.
