i'm having a problem with my p900 where the phone pairs fine with any other bluetooth device if initiated from the phone, but doesn't seem to be there when a file exchange or pairing is initiated from any other device...even though the p900 says it's discoverable.

it seems it's not really discoverable.

is anyone else having this problem?

That's odd. Earlier today my aunt's powerbook caught it from across the room when I was trying to pair her T610 to illustrate romeo.
So far have been able to send files from other ericsson phones as well..

Make sure you have the "visible to all devices" option checked in the screen. Also once paired allow the device to connect without confirmation.

That's the stupid thing I tried to find it but couldn't. It's more a feeling that there have been talk about that before. Does it matter?

I mentioned I had an initial problem with pairing my P800 with the P900...

The P800 worked fine...as always..and I could send files to my P900 fine...but not the other way around....What I hae not done....was set the P800 to discoverable when pairing it with the P900...this I did after settling down with the P900 and now they both are bluetoothing to each other great!

I'm having the same problem with my P900. It can iniate and pair with outher stuff fine but I cant initiate a connection to the P900 for anyother device. My P800 doesnt even see the P900 and whith a bluetooth headset I cant voice dial etc.
My firmware info is
Phone : CXC162022 R3B004
Bluetooth: CXC12529 R5D
Organiser: CXC162021 R1B01
