Hi,

I was just wondering if I can use a P800 dummy phone's cover and unscrew it etc. and replace it into my original P800 ? Coz mine is not very well coloured haha tried to colour it like some people in this forum but the paint keeps stripping off when I take the phone in and out of the pocket... I use Revell paints which are model airplane paints...

LOL I would never do pink... my friends might think I am gay or something haha I did it black on the sides... it looks OK... but the paint keeps falling off ! Argh !

Anyway, lets not deviate from the main topic ? Can I use a P800 dummy cover on my working P800 ?

@AceCobra1, Niether the case or the flip on dummy phones are of ANY USE as spares, they are not even made in the same factory, this goes for all dummy phone models.

HOWEVER, if your really desperate, the little blue cover for covering the flips hinge, can be used but its not as good as a real one.

In general , dummy phones are a complete waste of money.

There are an increasing number of liars on Ebay

If you doubt me, just ask in your local phone store, they may even show you how different the dummies are, for a start they have a large weight inside to get them to feel like a real phone.
I had a dummy T68i once & EVERY single part was different.
In fact it was me who sold the P800 real casings to the guy on Esato that painted his pink, so i know about these things.

I hate to disagree Patchy, but the keypad is the same as I used the dummy keypad of my dummy for my P800, and the camera cover, battery cover, and styli all work as well. The main casing is not the same but other parts are.

What about the main body volvoman ? Does that fit the original P800 ? Coz I know it is GLUED together but I can do a bit of presicsion hole drilling using my Hole maker which I use on my RC Car bodies
