Hi,

I've found that when I put files onto my MS the file names sometimes don't appear on the P800. Has anybody else experienced this?

I thought it may have to do with the length of the file names but this happens even with short names.

Yesterday I put three albums on there only for all but about 8 tracks to have blank names. Luckily I put them in each in their own folders so I can work out which tracks belong to which artist without having to listen first but it's a little strange I think. I don't rememeber reading anything about this in the manual and have tried doing a search here but have come up with nothing. This happens either when I transfer using the USB cradle or by using my card reader.

Make sure the ID3 tags for the files are all set properly before you transfer the files to your phone. In Windows, right-click the mp3 and select Properties >> Advanced.

You only need to fill in the song name and the artist name and that should do it.

Hope this helps...

Sometimes these things can stare you straight in the face and you just can't see them. i didn't even consider that it was the ID3 tag and not the file name it was showing. I'll try that when I get home, hopefully thatll sort it out.

Thanks Mimzo
