I've been told that if I upgrade my firmware to R3B in Vietnam, I'll have problems with the phone. Most new phones here are R2A or R2K. There's no GPRS here, so that's not an issue, but there is WAP.

1) Does anyone in any other country have problems with the local ericsson office being shit, and if so is there anyone to complain to about it?

2) My conclusion from reading posts here is that the main differences in R3B were improved SMS speed and interface, and sorting out some GPRS bugs, with some people lucky enough to have other bugs fixed, but others not having had those same bugs fixed by the upgrade.

Am I right? Are there any other problems with any particular R2 releases I should know about?

Upgrading your firmware will make it worse?!

Hmm... I don't think that's the experience of the fellow users here when they upgrade their phones.

The latest firmware for the T39 is the R4A
