thanks for those suggestions.yes emailing it to myself is too expensive but they are sort of in c blah blah as mentioned by wollyka.however does anyone know how to copy entire "mail" folder over to my pc?? it seems to only be possible to go to each individual item in each of the many sub folders of the mail folder and copy across to my pc. very very time consuming. any suggestions . please. ta

the best way is to save them as templates!!!!! Just open the message and select save as template!!!! templates will be saved in c/documents/MMS/templates ! u can copy this file to pc and you`ll have all pics and sounds on pc! Easy!

i wish it were possible to save all information from phone to pc (and vice versa) as part of the synchronisation/backup program? (or maybe i'm missing something and you can do that - but i can't see how?).
thanks again
ps how did you know about the "save as template" trick? is it in the manual?

No,i was just thinking! This thing isn't in the manual or somewere else, but for everything is a solution ! You can copy mms files to pc using epocware filemanager but if u want to use backup do this: do a backup, then locate it on pc,it will have .ecs extension if i remember, rename it as .zip and browse filed with a zip program!
