First impressions:

- Feel is solid. The only thing that feels weird to me is the plastic molding under the jog dial, as it sticks out from the rest of the case a bit.

- UIQ 2.1 & related stuff is cool. A lot of little things are a bit more logical.

- Feels faster at some things, others the same. Video playback is definitely faster. 10fps was about the max on my P800. The sample video on the P900 is 15fps, and no stutter. I'm gonna fool around with some more video tonight and see where the performance caps.

- Alarms can make the phone vibrate when muted! I asked this a bunch of times, and someone told me it didn't, but there's an option under the Multimedia volume for Vibrating alert. Yay!

Actually I don't find it to feel very solid. The material it's made of definitely looks more professional and solid but after feeling the phone it doesn't exactly strike me as solid.
When I press the sides of the phone (especially right of the screen) I hear a creaking sound. Is this normal? Everyone keep saying that it's very solid so it surprised me a little. But I think it's pretty normal, tho.

Iceduck: Yep.. I agree about that "cracking" sound from the plastic. Doesnt strike me as supersolid either. But I guess we cant have everything... at least it looks solid

I got it from Expansys. I had one of the early orders in, before they raised the price. I was also surprised that they replaced the Euro adapter with a US one (given that their first units had German manuals).

Yeah, I noticed the creaking this morning (when you squeeze near the screen), although it still creaks a lot less than my P800.

Video update: I tried some bigger video files, and the video performance is way better than the P800. I tried some videos that were 320 wide (and around 40K/sec), which played very well. In small mode, they looked good, and in widescreen there was just a little chop. I'm guessing that lowering the data rate would improve it, but at that size, you really don't want to lower the data rate. The movies I made (using their sample movie as a guide) at 15fps, 20k/sec and 208 wide look really nice.

I don't find the creaking sound to be a big problem. The screen is just so gorgeous that you don't really notice any of the bad aspects of the phone, though I think they should look into fixing it in later revisions. Also, I love the clock screensaver. I missed that a lot when I upgraded from a T68(i) to a P800 a year ago.
All in all I really like it a lot. This is the device the P800 should have been. Had they released it a year ago they would probably have sold a lot more P800s.
I haven't applied a screen protector yet, but I'll try to apply a P800 WriteShield later today. I hope it fits, else I'll have to order some new P900 protectors. This screen is too good to risk any scratches.

Btw, where do you guys' phones say that they're made in? Mine says France. Must be why it won't respond to my voice commands from time to time

@Iceduck

I agree with you about the screen protector. I noticed a big difference in the smoothness compared with my one year old P800 and the brand new P900 when I wrote the P900 review the other day. The P900 display felt like a "child's bottom" compared to the scratched P800 display surface.
