the posts there are dated 2002...a lot of things changed already. yahoo doesnt allow you to access email through pop3 accounts using the free subscription. you have to upgrade your yahoo account (with features which allows you to access via pop3) but it has charges already. I suggest you view your emails in yahoo via wap...totally free, if it doesnt work with yahoo usa, try yahoo uk.Ü

u need to haf subscribed to wap/gprs
the page will then load and u just need to key in yr username and password.......its that simple........cheers!!

i have yahoo pop3 working fine and i dont pay for it at all! Im in the uk though so settings may be different. i can post them anyway if u want?

username_us@yahoo.com domains are charged for if you want POP3/SMTP, but other country domains like
username_uk@yahoo.co.uk do not (yet) charge for the service.
Either way, you will have to switch on the option for POP email under Options from the web interface.
Or, as mentioned you can always access your emails via WAP.
