Sorry, but it has to be said.
Looks like youve just jumped aboard the bluejacking craze and suddenly your emailing the BBC about it and setting up websites.
Bluejacking originated on here by Ajack and I doubt you even consulted him (or the Estato boards) about your plans to go public with the whole thing.
Bluejacking should stay underground for as long as possible, we all know its inevitable that people are going to become more aware over time BUT you dont see all us emailing the BBC do you.
Kiss goodbye all those looks of desperate confusion. Kiss goodbye all those blank stares and scared looks at messages like "virus detected" Kiss goodbye all those idiots walking up to the counter at Starbucks showing them a dud message about a free coffee. All these jacks are the best and now people will know exactly whats going on.
BlueJacking shouldve stayed underground and I dont really think you had any right to jump on and try to get your 15 minutes of fame thru a website and the BBC.
I know some of you will flame me for this post but thats your right.. This is my opinion of this whole thing and I stand by it.

I am just confused at to what it is that makes you think that :
a) she went to the BBC herself. It is the other way around.
b) you (or anybody) OWNS the copyrights to

jacking. It's an accidental finding by ajack as we all know and it turned out well. Why he or esato should be 'consulted' tho is a bit beyond me.
The fact that you are so annoyed tells me that you have been enjoying

jacking not coz it's fun... but because you have been able to anonymously pester ppl on their phones and now you won't be able to do it anymore. You're like a kid that stole another kids toy and gets angry when it is taken from him.
I've said it before and i'll say it again... ppl knowing what

jacking is, is
NOT NECESSARILY a bad thing. It will change the nature of the exchange, sure, but that would've changed in time anyway.
Finally.... have you REALLY been so busy

jacking (so far) clue less Nokias that you feel your life is ruined now that there is some media coverage?? Coz if so...... i think you need help.
No offense dude, but I think you need a chill pill.

Zak248313, interesting change of thread title and suddenly your whole post seems much tamer.
Anyway, to put it into perspective, I think a very small percentage of people will have read the few articles circulating, and most are probably people very "mobile phone aware" who already know something of this and so you will still be able to have your fun... as will I

This is pretty lame and doesn't really affect SE users, more often Nokia phones fall victim to it. Did it around the office a couple of years ago, but novelty dies really really quickly.
It's never really been underground, just that there hasn't been enough of a concentration of Bluetooth devices with 'discoverable' permanently on.

enuf already!!!!
let's not start flaming anyone ok guys!!!
i still stand by my remarks earlier *much* in the I Did Something Naughty thread and i'll repeat it here....ajack started it all in the name of fun...sure it was cool to xchange info via

but the possibilities, and hence, the kraze was only started after he posted it here......and i know the man well enuf to say that we shudn't tarnish or fight over it....one thing's for sure...its just gonna be a matter of time before it hits the news...if it weren't jelly this time, it'll still be some other bloke.......let's not fret over the issue...instead, we shud all go out and enjoy

jacking.......
now git going......all of ya!!!

@Vlammetje
I might agree with your other comments but how sure are you that its an accidental finding by Ajack, and even if it is many famous brands are accidental coinages. Its for sure Ajack coined the word and I think even now he can apply for a copyright for that name since he can easily prove that he created it and have been using it in a public forum for a long time and no one else would be able to produce any evidence what so ever that they created it. Now about consulting him, I don't know what job you do, but belive me, its not that a good feeling that someone else taking credit of your creation or invention. I am pretty sure Masseur and Sweet heart will rightly agree with me on this.
So you should be a little more careful when making statements like the above one.
