I am planning to upgrade to the P900 after i get back from Holiday to India next month. The P800's are still selling at quite high prices overthere- Well at about Rs25-28000 second hand which is approx £350-375 ! So i will be taking mine and selling it there.
Now what about all my phone numbers etc? I will not have both phones together (as i would be selling there and coming back to the UK and getting the P900 on a contract) so cannot send via bluetooth so how can i just get all my numbers, MP4's, MP3's etc on to the new P900 ?? Can i sync the saved data from the P800 oc suite to the P900?
Another thing - CAn the MIB game be loaded onto the P900? i think the clours would look awesome !
Any help is very much appreciated.
Thanks

hi,
you can do two things:
1. create a backup of your P800 using the backup software included on the CD.
2. send all you contacts via IR to a computer in VCF format.
In the first case if you have a backup file, you can rename the extension to .ZIP (since it is a standard ZIP file) and then you can see the contents of it, even extract it if you want. About syncing to a P900 it might be possible supposing they didn't change the compression format.
About the MIB. All SIS files are compatible upwards. So if you want you can install it. However it will not be in 65K since the color map of the game is only 4096 colors.
Hope this helps.

Hi if your thinking you can simply whack your p900 in to the synch station and restore with a p800 backup your sadly mistaken it wont work!
you can take bit out of the p800 backup you made like the contacts.cdb file and then try and switch it but i dont know how you would avoid the file currently in use issue. Maybe you can try a mannual back up i have not done a manual back up with p900 so i cant help dont know why you wont be able to.
when are p900's gonna be out in india any ideas?

If you have the epocware FileManger (PC Software) then when the Backup has completed & the phone comes up with option to switch on you still have an active connection so can use FileManger to go in and cut, copy & paste what ever you want (be careful though) getting your contacts file back in with All Folders in tact is easiest.
