Whenever I loose service on my phone and it picks back up it looses the gprs connection. The only way to get it back is reboot the phone. Is this a common problem or what?

The same thing happened to me about a month ago.
On my regular route to the office, I'd pass by a deadzone. After leaving the deadzone, the phone will reacquire the GSM signal but not the GPRS. I'd have to go into flightmode and back to phone on to force the phone to get the GPRS signal.

Oddly enough, the problem disappeared after a while. I'd still lose my signal at that deadzone but will regain both GSM and GPRS signals after leaving it.

When did you start experience this problem?

I think it is a service provider related problem.

emails i can pop thru GPRS... but when I try connecting to net either via WAP settings or plain GPRS settings (Default P800), I never get access to internet! I don't know how emails can work over GPRS connection (i can see data in / out of GPRS globe) but not internet.. and sometime GPRS as other have mentioned.. just vanishes,,,,
