> Why is my USB-speed so very slow?
Bookmark topic
Hello everybody, just bought the fabolous P900 but have a come across a very disturbing problem! When I dock it with the station and is transfering mp3-files (using the explorer and dragging them to my memory stick) it it VERY VERY slow! How come? One song can take up tp 4-5 minutes! Is it really suppose do be like this?
Another thing that is bothering me is that the Phone connection link is having problems finding my device, sometimes it founds at the moment i place it in the cradle, other times it wont find it at all!
Can someone please help me?

Because the software PC SUite see the USB connection as a serial one, wich is much slower then USB. Nothing ot change about that.
Want to fill you MS duo faster? Use a separte MS reader/writer wich is really on USB or inboard.

As said above, the USB from the PC as actually connecting to the serial port of the phone so you only get serial speeds from the cradle (one of P800/P900 weaknesses to maintain backward compatibility).
I find the contacts are not always the ideal connection, sometimes slightly twisting phone when on housing (not hard) or rock forward off contacts then back on again can fix a no connection icon.
Old hand P800 owners (now P900 owners

) use a separate USB MS reader for getting data on & off the MS DUO cards (especially 32/64/128MB cards).

Okay, but if I got a Bluetooth-adapter for my pc, would the transfer rate go up? Would it be faster?
Thanks for all your replies, it really helps!

In theory it should be faster but having used bluetooth it is still nowhere near as fast as taking the memory card out & sticking in a USB reader.
I tend to keep my internal memory pretty much free anyway so I transfer files to memory card via a reader, backup memory card by copying all contents via a reader & only backup internal memory using backup within the software suit.

Same speed there the PC suite will also see that BT connection has a serial one.... he see ALL connection as a serial one.
Like i said... NOTHING TO DO ABOUT IT ! don't search a solution, they don't exist
