Have read a lot of info about Bluetooth on here & internet and now tried three bluetooth USB adaptors. The Belkin one & a Brainboxes one and a Socket CF BT.

Has anybody had any success with Bluetooth connections (especially for using the Sync software & browsing with Opera.

Most of what I read is people having problems (I also have the COM0 issue when trying to create serial connection and no bluetooth COM port listed in phone monitor at bottom).

It appears that the problems are with harware that uses the WIDCOM stack (which many do even the MSI one I have read about).

Only reliable success I have had is with Socket CF in a PCMCIA port in my desktop & laptop which works everytime but signal is too weak when in back on metal casing of the desktop. I really want to be able to lay in bed browsing with Opera via bluetooth with my desktop down stairs.

Which one to get (especially if it doesn't use the WIDCOM stack).

Really, really, really appreciate any help!!!

read the bluetooth thread on msi MS6967 on the technical thread, all your setup questions will be answered there, you just have to be sensitive with the comport settings and that you are only using the bluettoth adaptor to sync to the pc suite, that way you can use the P800 to go online using opera, also you must be sensitive with the gprs and net accounts on your P800, you hae to make a dummy setup for the connection to be used on your pc.

usually its the setup with the advanced configuration com port settings in the dongle and with the pc suite com port. THEY ARE NOT THE SAME, E.G. DONGLE USES COMPORT 7 & PC SUITE USES COMPORT 8
