When the Motorola A920 has a lot more cool features than the P800?
- It has capability to record movies in VGA mode
- Standard equiped with 32 mb
- also works on symbian os 7
- has full support for sd/mmc (so it supports external memory up to 1gb)
- has 65k colors
- 3G
- a rather 'good' camera instead of the p800's

I rather regret the fact that I just bought a P800 (about a month ago). If i could make the same choice again I would probably go for the Motorola.

LOL!!! I have to agree!

I've hated Motorola software ever since analogue - and I've yet to find one that will change my mind

I don't think that argument holds water.. The A920's GPS feature is only location based (so that takes a lot of markets off the list). This units does NOT have Bluetooth capability (so it might as well just be a PDA). It also doesn't have a keyboard so no separation from the Pxxx series phone in that count. The built in memory is only 8mb by the way. The 32mb only refers to a memory card. The ringer only uses polyphonic ringtones - P900 uses MP3, midi, wav, etc.... The other concern is that the keypad is only virtual. There are a lot of pda/phone units that only have virtual keypads. I think that's a big flaw especially if you are trying to dial while driving or on the go... With that said I don't think Pxxx owners should feel like they have made the wrong investment.

Yeah... Motorola sucks!!!

Did you know that A920 is locked?Meaning you cant install applications other than what are approved ny Three? And it also doesnt allow applications to be inslled in the memory card. it only allow the approved apps to be installed in the internal memory.

Someone found a way to "hack" A920 to accept other applications i.e. applications available for P800 UIQ device. You can visit http://www.mobileburn.com/news.jsp?Id=490 for the info and link.

In terms of specifications, A920 is marvellous but in practical, Motorola SuckS!!!At the moment, nothing beats P800 and P900 in terms of design, functionalities, applications, Operating System etc.

It is believed that A920 will have a new successor called A925 but itme will tell when. The design is almost the same but thinner and sleeker. But the Butt UGLYdamn antenna is still there in A925.

Trust the above assists

I think the situation is best summed up by an old and honoured phrase, "Motorola blows goats."
