I thought it would be worth recording our experiences with battery life.

I have now had my P900 on continously for 45 hours and it has 17% capacity still available. In that period I have formatted the c: and d: drives, used WAP (GPRS) for about 45 minutes, checked my email about 10 times, installed about 10 applications, played a few MP3s, made a couple of calls, fiddled with lots of settings, made three back-up, restored twice and used the P900 as a GPRS modem (quick test). I don't think this is bad battery performance given that the battery is new - I understand it should reach its full capacity after about 3 discharge / re-charge cycles.

What is your experience?

Edit: the MP3 player sounds better as well!

Non, I don't have it. But that sounds like pretty good time, better than on the P800. Is it?

It should be better because it is a better rated battery (1260mah from 1000mah) but my initial impression is that it is not quite as good...

I put this down to the fact that I have been playing a lot and therefore using the screen light and leaving software running.

I will know better in a few weeks.

I find that the battery of the P900 is working a little bit better than the P800 eg:

-P800 worked for a day after heavy usage (Bluetoot,Lots of calls,...)
-P900 approx same usage but battery still 40% left

My conclusion : for me it works better but stil not enoug. I find it should be possible to be working with it at least 3 days

My experiences are simular, From 1 day of my "Heavy usage" on the P800 to 2 days (not 3 on the P9.

This is based on 2 weeks of usage now, but I have also seem (just like on the P800) that the battery has just drained 2 times. These 2 times, the battery has just went from like 50-60% to 0 in 1-2 hours, without any usage at all!

I was told that being in a low-to-no singal area will drain the battery faster as the phone is constantly searching for a cell or trying to find a better one.

Flame me if i am wrong

I have only gone through one full cycle on my P900 so far, but even at that the battery has lasted longer (with heavy usage) than on the P800.
SE are obviously listening to us!
