I am trying to use IM software, that unlike the email client, doesn't allow me to select a data account. I figured that the only way then is to connect to the internet and then start the application. Only problem is i cannot seem to keep the internet connection open
any ideas

perhaps you have to set your data, connection-keep-alive? I have that problem also when using Webviewer on my t610, when a page is loaded, its disconnects...not so bad when using a GPRS connection, but when using a dailup, its take a lot of time to reconnect everytime

have the same problem, wrote to Reqwireless, here the answer:
"There is no explicit setting as the connection to the server should be HTTP/1.1 which implies the connection is kept open (ie: keep-alive is set). If this is not the case, I'd suggest you either use a GPRS/Internet APN (if your phone supports it) or consider an upgrade to your phones firmware."
Do you have a new firmware? (My is old)
