welll it goes down to this
people who cant afford a p900 want their fisher price styled toy (p800) to pertend it is a p900 which will never happen

Sorry to say it guys, but I can't see it happening.
worked hard to customise UIQ2.1 for the P900 and in the end (correct me if I'm wrong) the ROM footprint for the distribution came to around 21Mb.
Now the P800 has a 16Mb ROM whilst the P900 has a 32Mb ROM to accomodate the larger OS.
would have to trim around 6Mb off the OS just to fit it into the P800, which is not easy if not impossible.
As I say, I'm just recounting what I've read on here and in other places so I could be wrong, but I think what I've said is correct.
