I am able to sync with my mac and get addresbook to connect to the p900. The sms option does show up and does try to send messages but they never actually get sent. I also cant receive any. Also, incomming calls show up as unknown in the window that pops up on the mac and the answer/voicemail buttons dont seem to do anything. Does anyone have any input? I have tried searching a few different forums and it looks like this is working for some people.
Thanks!

Well it appears you are not alone.
I am running Panther with all updates applied and I get exactley the same behavoiur as you. ISync works perfectly for me but the "extra" address book features do not.
Do you get the "comms frame error " sometime when you click the bluetooth button in Address Book ?
What Version of the OS are you running ?
I called Apple this morning and the muppet on the phone said they don't support the P900 ( with address book ) yet but he admitted they may do in the future.
It's very annoying that they have managed to get everything else to work the new P900 except this.
I would be interested if anyone else has experienced anything different ?
BTW I found an Apple Knowledge base article that specificlly states that SMS via the address book for P800 is not support.
Fingers crossed for the P900 or it's a visit to Ebay for me.

Guys,
I am running Panther on my Powerbook and I cannot get my Powerbook to see my P900 to pair them. I have turned Bluetooth with the Visible to Other devices option on the P900 but the 'book cannot see it. It works fine with my T68i.
How did you get your phone to pair?? This is driving me nuts.
Cheers,
Kenny

Hi Kangaroo,
Pairing was relativley simple.
Make sure you have bluetooth turned on on your P900 and that is discoverable to other devices.
Go to Bluetooth settings on your mac and ensure it's set to discoverable.
Then form the P900 search for devices to pair and your phone will fine your mac.
Roberts your fathers bother.

Hi BigladUK,
I did as you instructed and it looked like the phone and the Mac paired okay. However, iSync does not want to sync with the phone. When I checked the phone settings in Bluetooth preferences, I noticed that the phone services available was blank. Can you please check yours?
Also, I thought the correct way to pair the device with the Mac is to initiate the pairing from the Mac, not the phone?? If I do this though the P900 is never discovered!!
Cheers,
Kenny

I had simillar problems in developer prerelease of Panther with my P800. If you have your full contact list and agenda in your computer or .Mac, you should select Reset all Devices from Device menu in iSync. It will complete erase address book and callendar in your phone and replace it with content from the computer or .Mac. After that it will works like charm!

Those of you who have sync and all working. Have you had any luck with sms via addressbook and also when you receive and incomming call, does it show up properly on the mac?

rdkl24, I can confirm that only ISync works fully with Panther.
The SMS, Dial & Recieve calls features in address book are unsupported on the P900 at this time and catagorically are unsupported ( this is documented ) on the P800.
I can say that I am able to to make the bluetooth connection from address book to P900 most of the time but i'm unable to initiate an SMS or a call. Incoming calls appear when the connection is in place but they don't show the number.
I have spoke to apple about this and the guys recons that an updated version of the address book should fix this but couldn't say if there was one in progress or if they were even considering one
Hope this helps

I read some posts elsewhere that made it sound like others had everything working so I just wanted to make sure I wasnt the only one it wasnt working for.
Thanks!
